Roadmap

A list of future plans and goals, as well as past achievements and milestones for Journiv.

Journiv is developed with a focus on privacy-first, self-hosted journaling. This roadmap reflects current priorities and future ideas, but may change based on community feedback and development needs. Features are prioritized based on user needs, available resources and alignment with Journiv's core values of privacy, data ownership, and simplicity.

Standalone Journiv Viewer

A fully standalone, privacy-first client side web app that opens any Journiv export directly in your browser. No server, no backend, no dependencies. Everything runs locally, so your memories stay with you forever even when you are not running Journiv.

Importers for Day One and other apps

One-click import tools to migrate your existing journal entries from popular journaling apps while preserving metadata, tags, and media.

Immich Integration

Capture the stories and memories beyond what the photo and videos shows. Browse, link or copy immich media directly in your journal.

A markdown editor which will allow you to write your entries in markdown with intuitive markdown tools and inline preview.
